EFEKTIFITAS PELVIC ROCKING EXERCISE DIIRINGI MUSIK INSTRUMENTAL TERHADAP PENGURANGAN RASA NYERI PUNGGUNG PADA IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III

Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, 2020, the number of pregnant women reached
around 5,221,784 people. The prevalence of pain in Indonesia was found that 68% of pregnant women
experienced moderate intensity back pain, and 32% of pregnant women experienced mild intensity back
pain. Back pain during pregnancy can arise as a result of an imbalance between the work of the postural
muscles and fascist muscles found in the lumbar region, so that it can cause the lumbar muscles tend to
shorten accompanied by hyperlordosis from the lumbar while the abdominal muscles tend to flex and
changes in body posture from increasing gestational age due to weight moving forward due to the fetus in
the womb getting bigger and also balanced with excessive lordosis in the Lumbar. The purpose of this
study was to determine the effectiveness pelvic rocking exercise of gym ball exercises and mattresses
accompanied by instrumental music on reducing back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester. This
type of research is quantitative quasi-experimental design with pre-post test design, using statistical test
Parametric Independent sample T test. Sampling by accidental sampling technique as many as 40
pregnant women in the third trimester who experienced moderate back pain and liked instrumental music.
Instruments used NRS scale and SOP Pelvic Rocking. The results of the independent sample T test sig 2
tailed value (p-value 0.00 < 0.05) then there is a significant average difference. So it can be concluded
that the most effective in reducing back pain in third trimester pregnant women is with gym ball
exercises, it is recommended that pregnant women can apply gym ball training movements at home
with very simple movements.
