Caesarean section is a surgical method as a last resort, if normal delivery and other measures cannot be
used. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports through the Global Alliance for Patient Safety that
of 27 million surgical patients between 2-5% of surgical wound infections occur annually, and 25% of
infections occur in health facilities. The aim of this research is to identify and determine the factors that
influence the healing of post-operative caesarean section wounds. The method used is descriptive
analytic with a cross sectional design . The sample in this study was 85 mothers post caesarean section .
The sampling technique was consecutive sampling using the chi square test . The results of the study
showed that there was no significant relationship between the nutritional status factor and wound
healing ( p-value 0.078), there was a significant relationship between the rest factor and wound healing (
p-value 0.000), there was a significant relationship between the early mobilization factor and wound
healing. ( p-value 0.039), and there was no significant relationship between wound care factors and
wound healing ( p-value 0.078). With this research, it is hoped that health workers can provide health
education regarding factors that influence wound healing and signs of infection in wounds so that wound
healing can be optimal.
