Child development issues can lead to stunting, wasting, overweight, and other developmental disorders. Health promotion through the Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) program is an effort to assist mothers in stimulating their child's development. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of health promotion (BKB) on the behavior of mothers of toddlers regarding child development stimulation during the first 1000 days of life in the Bukittinggi Family Planning Counseling Center area. This study is a quantitative research using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 20 mothers of toddlers, with data collected using a questionnaire. Primary and secondary data were used, and data processing was conducted using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant increase in all variables. The mothers' knowledge improved from 5.50 to 9.45 (P-value 0.000 ? 0.05). Mothers' attitudes increased from 2.30 to 38.55 (P-value 0.000 ? 0.05). Mothers' actions increased from 4.90 to 9.60 (P-value 0.000 ? 0.05). All variables showed a P-value ? 0.05, indicating that Ho was rejected, meaning there is an influence of health promotion (BKB) on the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of mothers of toddlers regarding child development stimulation during the first 1000 days of life. It is concluded that health promotion (BKB) affects the behavior (knowledge, attitudes, and actions) of mothers of toddlers in stimulating child development during the first 1000 days of life. Mothers of toddlers are encouraged to apply proper child development stimulation during the first 1000 days of life to prevent developmental disorders in children.
