Anxiety and depression are known as distress, which is an unpleasant condition or state that includes
negative mental conditions. Adolescents are one of the groups that are vulnerable to experiencing
distress due to various changes such as physical, biological, psychological, and social due to the
emergence of mental health disorders. Client Center Therapy (CCT) can help individuals find confidence
in solving their problems and their physical condition will gradually improve. In addition, breathing
relaxation is carried out which is useful for creating a relaxed condition. The subjects in this study were
13-year-old female adolescents who experienced mixed anxiety and depression disorders. The data
collection methods used were observation, interviews, and psychological tests consisting of cognitive
tests (WISC), personality tests (Graphic), and inventory tests (BAI & BDI). This study a quantitative
approach, utilizing an experimental method that involved a single case pre-test and post-test design.
Researchers used client centered therapy techniques and breathing relaxation techniques to reduce
anxiety and depression in subjects. The results of the intervention showed that the CCT technique could
be used as an intervention for clients with mixed anxiety and depression disorders. This is evidenced by
the positive changes related to the psychological symptoms felt by the subjects. Meanwhile, based on the
BAI and BDI score calculations, there was a decrease in the scores or categories of previous anxiety and
depression from the category of severe depression to mild depression, and mild anxiety to normal.
