ANALISIS PENATALAKSANAAN PROGRAM REHABILITASI PASIEN PASCA STROKE DI RUMAH SAKIT OTAK DR. DRS. M. HATTA BUKITTINGGI

Abstract

Stroke is a neurological disorder with a relatively high incidence rate, commonly resulting in
disability and death. Data recorded at the Hospital Brain M.Hatta in Bukittinggi shows that
the number of stroke cases in 2015 was 4,109 individuals, and in 2016, it was 4,099 individuals.
This study employs a quantitative method with a descriptive and comparative associative cross-
sectional design. The aim of this research is to determine the extent of the influence of medical
rehabilitation programs on post-stroke patients at the National Stroke Hospital in Bukittinggi
in 2017. Samples were taken using accidental sampling technique. The results of the study
indicate a significant relationship between the variables of medical rehabilitation services (p
Value 0.005 OR 4.484), family support (p value 0.004 OR 6.496), and controllable risk factors
(p value 0.015 OR 10.577) on the post-stroke patient variable. The variable with the greatest
influence after multivariate testing is the medical rehabilitation services variable (p value
0.005). Thus, it can be concluded that the variable most influential on post-stroke patients in
medical rehabilitation programs is medical rehabilitation services. Therefore, it is
recommended to enhance the role of families as an essential component of medical
rehabilitation programs in the recovery of post-stroke patients
