The Impact of Occupational Environmental Conditions on Tuberculosis Incidence Among Healthcare Workers

Introduction: It is known that many diseases in healthcare workers are related to environmental conditions, but there is no clear picture of how these two components are related. This research method reviews the literature on the influence of environmental conditions on occupational diseases in healthcare workers. Relevant articles were searched from published electronic data, namely Pubmed, Proquest, Google Scholar, and Springer published in the last 5 years. The search strategy used English with the keywords "Environment Hygiene And Occupational Health Workers And TB". Articles were included if (1) they were fully accessible (2) Published in English (3) Type of research and review articles (4) main results related to room temperature in hospitals, occupational health of healthcare workers presented with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analysis (PRISMA) Scheme. Results: A total of 58,023 articles were obtained and 11 research articles that met the criteria were taken for analysis according to the criteria and suitability with the research objectives. Conclusion: The work environment plays a pivotal role in the occurrence of TB among healthcare workers. Strengthening environmental controls and organizational support is crucial to protect HCWs from occupational TB and ensure a safer healthcare system.
