PENATALAKSANAAN FISIOTERAPI DENGAN TANDEM WALKING EXERCISE DAN FOUR SQUARE STEP EXERCISE PADA GANGGUAN KESEIMBANGAN DINAMIS LANSIA DI KLINIK POLITEKNIK KESEHATAN SITEBA

Elderly people are over 60 years old, which is the final stage of human life. Balance is the body’s ability to remain in the various positions. In the study, two patients visited the Siteba Health Physiotherapy Clinic Padang. The aim of this study was to improve balance in the elderly to reduce the risk of falls, using tandem walking ang four square step exercise. The research used a case study with an observasional and interventional approach. The research location was the Physiotherapy Clinic Padang. This study was conducted six times. The population in the study was all individuals who came to the clinic and experienced dynamic balance disorders. The sample of the study was two individuals with balance disorders. After 6x therapy sessions using tandem walking and four square step exercise, the result showed that the first patient, Mrs M, experienced a 66.66% increase in balance from T0 to T6. Meanwhile, the second patient, Mrs. T, experienced a 63,53% increase in balance the same range. From these result, it can be concluded that by providing tandem walking and four square step exercises, dynamic balance in the elderly can be inproved
