ANALISIS DETERMINAN PERILAKU PEMBUANGAN SAMPAH RUMAH TANGGA DI KECAMATAN BONJOL, KABUPATEN PASAMAN
Abstract
Household waste is an integral part of daily life, yet it often receives insufficient attention. The volume of
waste in Pasaman Regency has shown a consistent upward trend, reaching 44,253.04 tons in 2022 and
increasing to 44,884.05 tons in 2023, predominantly composed of organic waste. Waste management
remains suboptimal, primarily limited to collection, transportation, and disposal at final disposal sites. This
study aims to analyze the factors associated with household waste disposal practices. This analytical survey
employed a cross-sectional design. A total of 100 household heads were selected using random sampling.
Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews, and analyzed using univariate and bivariate
methods with the chi-square test (p ? 0.05). Results: Community perception was significantly associated
with household waste disposal practices (p = 0.005; OR = 5.71). The availability of waste disposal facilities
also showed a significant association (p = 0.005; OR = 5.902). Conclusion: Increasing public awareness
and ensuring the availability of adequate waste disposal facilities are essential to improving household
waste disposal practices in Bonjol, Pasaman Regency
