PERILAKU MASYARAKAT DALAM PENCEGAHAN DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE DENGAN PENERAPAN 3 M PLUS DI KELURAHAN KAPALO KOTO

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a viral infectious disease that can be transmitted by mosquitoes and is currently still a major problem in the global health world. This disease is caused by the dengue virus and is spread through the Aedes aegypti mosquito vector. This disease occurs frequently in tropical regions, including in Indonesia. Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2024, in Indonesia reported the number of DHF cases there were 114,720 cases with 894 deaths. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of community behavior in preventing dengue hemorrhagic fever by implementing 3M plus in Kapalo Koto village. This study used a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study was people living in the Kapalo Koto village, Pauh, Padang city with a sample of 60 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used Purposive Sampling. Data collection through interviews using questionnaires. The results of this study obtained respondents with positive behavior in carrying out DHF prevention as many as 48 people (80%). It is hoped that the results of this study can serve as a reference or source of information for healthcare workers to improve preventive measures, particularly those related to the 3M plus method.
