Breast milk production is the process of formation and release of breast milk that occurs in the mammary glands of the breast which influences exclusive breastfeeding. The coverage of babies who are exclusively breastfed according to 2019 national data is 67.74%. The highest percentage of exclusive breastfeeding coverage is in West Nusa Tenggara Province (86.26%). For West Java Province it reached 63.53%. Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Depok City in 2018 was 58.17%. This figure is lower than the proportion of exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Depok City, namely 63.4%. Exclusive breastfeeding is closely related to breast milk production. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and early initiation of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers with postpartum breast milk production within 3 hours at Citama Clinic in 2024. The research design used in this research is analytical descriptive with a cross sectional study approach. The results of the research were 16 respondents (53.3%) who had high knowledge. 21 respondents (70%) had carried out IMD. 18 respondents (60%) had sufficient breast milk production. In conclusion, there is a relationship between knowledge of postpartum mothers and breast milk production with a value of p = 0.030 < 0.05 and OR 7.800. There is a relationship between the implementation of IMD and breast milk production in postpartum mothers, p value = 0.013 < 0.05 and OR 11.200. It is hoped that health workers can provide education to mothers to always provide breast milk, because by providing breast milk frequently, breast milk production will increase
