The problem of organic waste management is still a major issue due to the low utilization of environmentally friendly decomposition technology. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of maggot (Black Soldier Fly) in deciphering three types of organic waste: fruit, vegetables, and meatThe design used was a Complete Random Design (CRD) with three treatments and three replicates. Observation every three days for nine days. Data analysis using the Anova Test.
The results of the study showed that the average weight of fruit waste was 248.40 grams, sd =49,339, vegetable waste 355.17 grams, sd = 42,405, meat waste 309.80 grams, sd = 49,626. The results of the statistical test of the three p-value groups = 0.008 < ? (0.05). (Declined). This means that there is a difference in the weight of the three wastes from observations per 3 days. The average weight of fruit maggot is 58.60 grams, sd = 1.817, weight of vegetable maggot is 48.33 grams, sd = 5.354, meat maggot weight is 41.00 grams, sd = 5.701. The results of the statistical test of the three p-value = 0.198 > ? (0.05). (With Acceptance). This means that there is no significant difference in the weight of the three maggots.
The conclusion of the study was that there was a difference in the weight of the three garbage from observations per 3 days, but there was no significant difference in weight for the three types of maggots. It is hoped that the community can use maggots in decomposing organic waste in order to reduce the volume of waste.
