Mental health problems are a serious health problem, the biggest apart from generative
diseases because they experience increasing and long healing processes such as chronic
diseases. The research aims to determine the factors that influence the incidence of mental
disorders in the Semurup Community Health Center work area in 2024. The research method
was mixed methods, in the working area of the Semurup Community Health Center, February
March 2024, a total sample of 100 patients consisting of 50 patients diagnosed with
schizophrenia (cases) and 50 patients with mild mental disorders to depression (controls)
seeking treatment at the Semurup Community Health Center were selected using purposive
sampling. The questionnaire instrument for demographic data and mental disorder factors was
analyzed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test. Multivariate with multiple
linear logistic regression. Qualitative research: In-depth interviews using an input, process and
output approach for 7 informants, processed using a data triangulation matrix. The results of
quantitative research show that factors related to the incidence of mental disorders are genetics
(p=0.000, OR=7.071), social environmental status (p=0.012, OR=4.510), economic status
(p=0.028, OR=3.714), which Marital status was not related to the incidence of mental disorders
(p=0.148, OR=2.455). Qualitative results: There are policies, funds are available, personnel
are still lacking, and existing infrastructure still needs improvement. The conclusion of
quantitative research is that the factors causing mental disorders are genetics, economics and
the social environment of society. The most dominant link to the incidence of mental disorders
at the Semurup Community Health Center in 2024 is the social environment of the community
with a value of ((p=0.019, OR=3.882). Qualitative research has not yet maximized the
implementation of activities in identification, recognition of signs and causes of mental
disorders, it is hoped that health workers will be more active in carrying out early detection,
education, health promotion through mental health programs so that cases of mental disorders
in the working area of the Semurup Community Health Center can be controlled.
