HUBUNGAN RISIKO LINGKUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN PENYAKIT KECACINGAN DI SDN 09 AIR PACAH

Poor environment (unqualified disease and poor sanitation) as well as personal hygiene
(eating habits and washing habits) are factors that greatly influence the high prevalence of
Elementary School disability students in the district of Koto Tangah. The study aims to identify
the relationship between environmental risk factors (individual hygiene and basic household
sanitation) and addiction. This type of research is descriptive research with a cross sectional
study design. The population in this study is the entire students of Class I – III, Elementary
School Number 09 Aia Pacah, the total population of 212 people. The sample in this study was
68 samples taken by simple random sampling. The data analysis method used is bivariate
analysis using a computer system with a Chi-square test. The results of the study showed that
more than half (52.9%) of individual students' hygiene was poor, over half (57.4%) of basic
household sanitation was bad, and over half (60.3%) of students suffered from disability. In
this study also obtained there is a meaningful relationship to disease addiction is individual
hygiene factors and basic household sanitation factors. Students are advised to improve self
hygiene and the environment in order to avoid malnutrition. To the school authorities to give
greater priority to school hygiene and to the Health Care to regularly give advice to the
schools about disability disease
