PENGARUH YOGA TERHADAP NYERI PUNGGUNG IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER II DAN III TAHUN 2024

Pregnancy brings physical and psychological changes and causes discomfort, especially in the third
trimester, one of which is back pain during pregnancy. Back pain can have an impact on the
psychological, social life, and quality of life of pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to
determine the effect of yoga on reducing back pain in pregnant women in trimester II and III in 2024.
This research design is a quasi-experiment with pre and post-tests. The independent variable is yoga and
the dependent variable is back pain. Data processing using editing, coding, and tabulating. This study
used the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The research was conducted from February 01 to May 4, 2024, and
took place at BPM “E” Padang Panjang. The sampling technique used total sampling and obtained 16
pregnant women. Measurement of pain levels using a low back pain level observation sheet. Research
results: based on the results of the study obtained the p-value is 0.002 < ? = (0.05) so there is an effect of
yoga on back pain in second and third-trimester pregnant women. This study concludes that there is a
difference in effectiveness between giving yoga to the intensity of back pain and it can be stated that there
is a significant effect. After the implementation of yoga, this technique is more effective in reducing back
pain in second and third-trimester pregnant women
